You might not be able to tell by looking at the thermometer but autumn is JUST around the corner. Some of what we cook begins to shift. To get everyone thinking autumn, we wanted to shared why we think a roast might just be the perfect autumn and winter food.
As part of the 2019 Co-op Farm Tour, we will be having a tour of one of our farms on Saturday, July 13th from 10am - 4pm. This is a great event for the whole family. Come visit our farm, see how our animals are raised and check out over 25 other local farms too!
October 12th is National Farmer's Day. We would like to take a moment to thank all of the farmers who raise the animals for our group.
We've recently added a few more pickup locations for our monthly deliveries. TC Farm now has over 50 pickup locations across the Twin Cities metro area.

Anyone who has been reading this blog or following us for a while already knows we like to talk about our hens. Egg laying is a naturally cyclical process. Each winter, we usually give our hens a month off. Because it is good for them. But also because hens naturally lay fewer eggs in the winter. Of course, the flip side of that is that hens in late spring are laying eggs…
It's still a couple of months off (July 15 will be here fast!) but we're trying to get a feel for how many people might attend the Co-op Farm Tour or the potluck BBQ we are throwing for our members afterwards. If you could take the time to let us know if you are interested, that would be awesome!
