TC Farm Sampler for September

Over the years, newer members and people on the waitlist have asked about sampler packs -- they are a great way to try out a little bit of everything and discover some new favorites.

The problem, from an inventory side, is that when we build the sampler, the stuff that goes into a sampler then can't be sold in other bundles. So we might have some chicken thighs in a sampler and have 30 boxes of the sampler still in inventory but be out of chicken thighs and unable to offer them to members who want them.

With our move to a new warehouse, though, a LOT of options have opened up for us. One of the things we can do now is build the exact right number of sampler boxes to match how many people are asking for them the following delivery. (There's a reason why we have to cut off making changes! There's a ton of work that goes into getting that delivery ready - but that's a story for a different time!) We tried it out last month, offering our wait list members (and full members, too!) our first sampler. This month, we are happy to introduce the Minnehaha sampler:

The September sampler pack includes:

• 2 packs salmon fillets (minimum of 8 ounces each)
• 1 pack of grass fed ground beef (1 lb)
• 1 pack of brats (this month most will be Italian until we run out but some will include another variety - no way to be sure until you see which you get!)
• 1 pack of sliced rustic ham
• 1 pack of our 48 hour smoked pulled pork
• 1 whole chicken
• 1 pack organic garlic cheese sourdough bread from Backwards Bread
• 1 quart of mostly organic/local split pea and kale (vegan) soup from Simpls
• 1 pack of ground pork (1lb each)
• 2 bone-in thick cut pork chops (~1.1lb each)

Pro tip: The sliced ham can be chopped and crisped up in a buttered pan and added to the soup. Trust us. It's pretty great.

Because of the way we build the sampler (in a -4º frozen warehouse!) there isn't any way for us to make an custom requests or substitutions. BUT - we plan on having another sampler next month so stay tuned for more!
